Although, she has been singing and performing since her first time on stage at an elementary school talent contest, and frequenting many stages with her dad, Bobby Blackhat, over the past 10 years. This past year has been spent focusing on performing her own original music all over including festivals, award shows, showcases and private events.

Akeylah Simone, from Hampton Roads, VA is just getting her feet wet as a singer, songwriter, and now recording artist. In just her first year of releasing original music, she’s landed 4 songs on the 2021/22 Grammy Ballot and voted Encore’s 2021 Best Solo Artist. Back in 2010, Daniel went with a friend to a Keith Urban concert where he was pulled on stage with 2 others to sing with the country star. Afterwards, having had a long held dream of having his own band, Daniel had the support of a friend and owner of a local pizza joint and bar to come and perform a solo acoustic gig. His community turned out to support him and another friend, Robbie Raper did his sound. The very next month, Daniel and Robbie played together and the rest is history. Moving forward as The Daniel Jordan Band, the band has been blessed to perform with the talent of NC favorites; Michael Yu, Robbie Raper, the late Ronny McKinney, and Steve Saylor.

The JD3 Band is based out Hampton, Virginia. The group got its start after jamming together for the first time at a New Years Eve party in 2020. The chemistry of the band was instantly apparent and songs were flowing out one after the other. With the organic, improvisational nature of the trio, it was obvious right from the start that this was to be an original band to be reckoned with. Just over a year later, JD3 released their first single, "Hard Drivin Woman", on January 7th, 2022.

Centered around frontman James Dowdy's (JD) unique blues and rock influences on guitar, the band has hints of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer and many more that come through in the music. Live performances are geared toward improvising and letting the room take the music to new levels. With our newest member Tom Bess on bass and Cole Morgan behind the drum kit, JD3 brings a new sound into a familiar genre.

JD3 released their first EP on July 30th, 2020.

The Musicians and Arts Foundation held its first fundraiser for charity at The Vanguard Brewpub and Distillery called the "1st Annual -Live and Local- Musicians and Arts Festival." on June 15, 2019 and raised money for three charity organizations: Forkids.org, Soundscapes.org and a donation to VB Strong. It was a huge success, and plans were made for a second charity event that was to be held in the summer of 2020, but due to the Pandemic, a shift in plans had to happen. NOW get ready for the 2nd Musicians and Arts Festival to be held on July 13, 2024. 10 local bands and 2 bands from out of state including the ARATO BROTHERS, a high energy 80's and 90's cover band, as well as the PRINCE PROJECT - The Ultimate Prince and The Revolution Tribute Band!! Also other art related genres, vendors, door prizes, silent auctions and guest speakers are to make this event special for the main purpose of supporting local and national charities through the power of local artists. This year SOUNDSCAPES (who provide musical instruments and instruction to the underserved, will be supported, as well as THE GARY SINISE FOUNDATION who provides support to our Veterans and First Responders. Also we will be supporting THE CONNER GWEEDO MEMORIAL FOUNDATION.

It would be a honor to have you all come out and support this great event to help those in the community in need, with our talents, whether by attendance, donations, or bringing your gifts of music and arts to all. Thank you and I look forward in seeing you all on July 13, 2024.

Kyle Kelly (FREE)

Kyle Kelly, a North Carolina native, discovered his love for music at the early age of eight. Kyle was drawn to the old classic sounds of greats such as Lynyrd Skynryd and Waylon Jennings, which inspired him to learn guitar and drums.

During college, Kyle was a pitcher for Catawba College baseball team, until he suffered a career ending injury. After recovering, Kyle found perseverance in music. As a self taught musician, Kyle began to write songs about his life, his truck, and his friends. Not long after, Kyle began to play live shows across North Carolina.

Kyle Kelly released his debut record “Lake Weekend” in July 2020, which is seeing a tremendous amount of success on Spotify. In response to the graciously warm reception by thousands of listeners, Kyle released a follow up music video to “Lake Weekend”, where you can see his love for classic cars, friends, and having an all around good time!

From classic cars to classic country music, this 27 year old country music artist is a true throwback, embracing the look and sounds of the ‘70s and ‘80s. A nostalgic feel is often reflected in Kyle’s music while still implementing his own personal touch of a modern spin.

Kazha is a rock band founded in 2009, originally from Tokyo Japan. The band has been touring internationally since 2011. Singer/Bassist Kazuha Oda is classically trained and have worked in various genres of music from Classic to Heavy Metal. She worked with wide variety of Grammy Award-winning recording artists and producers including Bob James from Fourplay.

After the release of their first album in 2010, they made their first U.S.A. debut performing at San Francisco’s Asian Heritage Celebration, shared the stage with hip-hop group Far East Movement. They have toured more than 35 states until now and have performed as a guest of honor at numerous Anime/Comic Conventions and Festivals around the world.
